Refund and Returns

At Engarui Limited, we strive to provide quality new and used parts, equipment, and reliable services. Please read our Refund and Return Policy carefully before making a purchase or requesting service.

1. General Policy

Due to the nature of our products (new & used machinery, specialised parts, and custom services), all sales are final unless otherwise stated in this policy. We encourage customers to inspect items thoroughly before purchase and fully understand service quotes.

2. New Parts / Stock Items

  • Returns accepted within 7 days of purchase if the item is unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.
  • A 15% restocking fee may apply.
  • Customer pays return transport costs to our Mount Hagen workshop.
  • Special-order or custom parts are non-returnable and non-refundable.

3. Used Equipment & Machines

  • Used Lucas Mills, used engines, and other used industrial products are sold as-is.
  • Returns or refunds are not accepted after purchase and collection.
  • Customers are strongly encouraged to inspect used items at our workshop in Mount Hagen before completing the purchase.
  • Any agreed minor repairs or adjustments must be documented in writing at the time of sale.

4. Service Parts & Accessories

  • Service parts (bearings, gearboxes, track rollers, blades, etc.) follow the New Parts policy above if unused.
  • Installed or used service parts are non-returnable.

5. Services (Saw Retipping, Rebuilds & Maintenance)

  • Once work has commenced, services are non-refundable.
  • Cancellation before work begins may incur an inspection or administrative fee.
  • We stand behind our workmanship (see Warranty below).

6. Warranty on Workmanship & Used Items

  • Our service workmanship (retipping, rebuilds, repairs) is warranted for 30 days from collection.
  • Used equipment carries no warranty unless specifically stated in writing at time of sale.
  • Warranty covers defects in our labour only and does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or post-collection damage.
  • Claims must be made promptly with proof of purchase/collection.

7. Defective or Incorrect Items (New Items Only)

  • Contact us within 48 hours of receipt for faulty or incorrect new parts.
  • We will arrange replacement or refund (subject to inspection) once returned to our Mount Hagen workshop.

8. Non-Refundable Items

  • All used Lucas Mills, used engines, and used industrial products
  • Opened, installed, or used parts
  • Special-order or custom items
  • Services where work has started
  • Electrical/electronic components once opened

9. How to Request a Return or Refund (Where Eligible)

  1. Contact us immediately with your order/invoice details.
  2. Bring the item back to our Mount Hagen workshop (no pick-up service).
  3. Provide proof of purchase.
  4. Approved refunds processed within 14 days via original payment method.
